Description
The leaf spring jack is photographed as a gold-plated pin and socket connector module that pairs a canted coil spring with mounting plates, so the contact can be mounted into a connector housing as a finished subassembly. The leaf-spring construction uses flat spring members to grip the mating pin, and the mounting plates fix the module in place. It is built for new-energy electric vehicle (EV) charging connectors and for industrial connector applications.
Jack sizes and finish
For the EV charging connector range the leaf spring jack is available in pin sizes 1.58mm; 2.8mm; 3.6mm and 3mm; 6mm. Silver plating and brass, T2 copper are the standard pairing, and plating and materials can be customized according to customer requirements, including a gold-plated finish of the type shown on the module in the product photograph.
Beyond charging, an industry-use jack set in sizes 1.5/3/5.7/6/8/9.07/10/12/14/15/16/18/20/22mm -28mm is available, and individual current levels can be customized according to customer needs, so the leaf spring jack scales from charging to industrial currents. Springs for shielding, which simplify quick shielding interfaces, are offered in specifications 35mm2, 50mm2, 75mm2, 90mm2, etc.
The mounting-plate configuration in the product image means the leaf spring jack can be built directly into pin and socket connector modules rather than being handled as a loose sleeve. This pre-assembled module approach is the practical difference for customers assembling EV charging and industrial connector bodies, and it is an option for assembly lines that want to drop a pre-finished module straight into the connector housing. Linked application is Electric Vehicles.
