Description
This socket contact is the female half of a pin-and-jack pair, machined with a canted coil spring ring set into the bore so the spring lines press on the inserted pin around its full circumference. That construction gives the contact its grip and its tolerance for repeated mating, which is why it is specified for connector terminal applications in the Electric Vehicles space. The spring ring sits in the machined bore, so the socket keeps a defined contact radius without a separate retention part. The photographed form is a precision socket contact with the canted coil spring ring visible at the terminal mouth, and it is made for EV charging connector applications.
Specifications
The socket follows the charging family's pin jack sizes: 1.58mm; 2.8mm; 3.6mm; 3mm; 6mm, silver plated on brass or T2 copper. Plating and materials can be customized according to customer requirements, and the ring's inside diameter is matched to the pin size it accepts.
Range and Customization
The same jacks extend to industry use in sizes 1.5/3/5.7/6/8/9.07/10/12/14/15/16/18/20/22mm -28mm, with individual current levels customized according to customer needs. Shielding springs in 35mm2, 50mm2, 75mm2, 90mm2 complete the quick shielding interface line. Sockets can be paired with their mating pins so the contact pair is qualified together before it goes into the connector housing.
