How to clean stainless steel springs

Stainless steel springs are widely used in industrial production and are common in everyday equipment. Although unobtrusive, they provide a great deal of convenience and are essential to the production of many types of machinery. During service the spring surface can become contaminated with oil or dust, so it should be cleaned promptly.

Cleaning method

Take care not to scratch the product surface. Do not use steel-wool pads or other abrasive tools; use a softer cloth and rub repeatedly instead. For most ordinary dirt, a soft cloth is enough to complete the cleaning. For more stubborn oil or dust, a mild chemical reagent can be used, typically alcohol or bleach, followed by a rinse with clean water and thorough drying.

Company profile

Dongguan Spring-in-Spring Electronics Co., Ltd. (SiS) was established in October 2011 and specializes in the design, testing and manufacturing of elastic conductive electronic components. The company moved to Chang'an Town, Dongguan in May 2018 and operates CNC lathe, spring-finger, assembly and laboratory workshops.

High-current spring contact products

Responding to the connector industry's growing demand for high-current connectors, Spring-in-Spring Electronics has developed a new type of bidirectional coil spring finger (SiS) and a single-turn spring finger. These form multiple columnar deformation contact points, up to 300 or more, with a service life exceeding 100,000 insertion cycles. The spring contact current density and temperature rise are close to those of the transmission cable, and plugging force is about 10 N.

The product family covers PCB-board connectors (board-to-board USC and board-to-wire), cylindrical quick-swap self-locking connectors with plastic or metal shells, male and female weight-load connectors, electric-vehicle chargers and high-voltage power-battery-pack series connectors. These are used in advanced high-current energy collectors and energy-storage and electrical equipment, including electric vehicles, charging base stations, wind-energy generators, power supplies, high-speed rail and heavy trucks. The company holds a number of national patents, and its products have passed international-standard testing.
