Description

The terminal torsion spring is packaged as a precision threaded terminal, and the photograph shows both a pin and a socket version with hex nuts and gold plating — the two halves of a field-serviced mated joint. The hex-nut and threaded body make it a mechanical terminal rather than a bare contact: it can be torqued into a bulkhead, busbar or panel and exchanged without disturbing the surrounding wiring. With both pin and socket terminals shown, the set covers a full mated pair from a single supplier, so the two sides are dimensionally matched by design.

Threaded Terminal Form

Each terminal houses the single-leaf rotary hyperboloid spring contact, so the mating interface still gets multiple independent wires deflecting radially and axially around the pin, forming several parallel current paths that survive the break of a single wire. Bores span 1.5–30 mm with other sizes customizable, and contact plating can be gold or silver per requirement, with the gold-finished terminals shown as the premium option. The family delivers high contact power density, low insertion and extraction forces, low voltage drop, easy installation and replacement and high vibration and shock resistance through up to 100,000 cycles. The threaded form makes installation and replacement straightforward, keeping the low insertion and extraction forces the family is specified for.

Typical Applications

Linked to medical, telecom, electric vehicle, aerospace and high-speed rail systems, the threaded terminal suits equipment where connectors must be installed, tested and swapped in the field without soldering or re-crimping the joint. In service, the redundant wire paths keep a broken wire from opening the circuit, which is the reliability margin that field-maintained connectors depend on.

Manufactured by Dongguan SISE (Spring-in-Spring) Electronics Co., Ltd., an ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certified manufacturer of precision spring contacts, high-current connector terminals and EMI/RFI shielding since 2011.
