Accuracy and performance of spring fingers

A spring finger is a new type of electrical connection product. Its simple structure, easy installation, strong current-carrying capacity and low cost make it widely used in high-voltage switchgear, high-speed rail, petroleum exploration and testing equipment, and new-energy vehicles.

Design advantages

The spring finger is small and light, uses little material and is inexpensive to produce. It suits compact equipment layouts where space is tight, and the small number of parts simplifies the design of the connector assembly.

Multi-point, concentrated contact achieves near-lossless current transfer and a large current-carrying capacity, with good conductivity and high electrical and thermal stability. The modest contact pressure at each point gives the spring good wear resistance.

The unique structure provides a wide working range, tolerates generous tolerances on the contact surfaces, and adapts well to machining and assembly error, all of which make it well suited to large-scale production.

Manufacturing and accuracy

SISE independently developed and produces its spring fingers. A special forming process followed by several precise heat-treatment steps ensures the accuracy and performance of the finished product.

Dongguan Spring-in-Spring Electronics Co., Ltd. (SISE), established in October 2011 and relocated to Chang'an Town, Dongguan in May 2018, designs, tests and manufactures elastic conductive electronic components. Its bidirectional coil spring contact finger (SiS) and single-turn spring finger form multiple columnar contact points (over 300), meet a service life of more than 100,000 cycles, and provide an insertion force of about 10 N.
