A pin jack electrical connector is a basic electrical component that plays the role of connecting or disconnecting circuits and transmitting electrical signals and connections between electronic devices. It is widely used in electrical circuits across aviation, aerospace, hydropower, electronic communications, transportation and oil drilling.

Growth driven by new energy vehicles

As a new means of transport, and under the global requirements of energy saving, emission reduction, low-carbon environmental protection and sustainable development, the launch of new energy electric vehicles represented by Tesla triggered rapid development of the entire new energy vehicle industry. With strong investment from traditional car companies and outside capital in China, the new energy vehicle industry and related enterprises have grown quickly. Because pin jack connectors are key components for the vehicle's electronic control, circuit and signal systems, their use has increased greatly.

Connectors per vehicle

As drivers demand better comfort, safety and reliability from new energy electric vehicles, the number of pin jack electrical connectors used on each vehicle is expected to reach 600 to 1,000 in the future, far larger than the number used today.

Why connector reliability matters

Statistics show that about 70% of failures or faults in various control systems originate from component failure, and about 40% of that 70% is caused by failure of the pin jack electrical connector. As the core component for signal connection and transmission inside the connector, the reliability of the contact terminal directly affects the reliability of the pin jack connector and of the entire system.
