Electrical Contacts

This electrical contact product is a set of silver-plated spring contacts built for EV charging connector pin jacks, exactly as shown in the photograph. The contacts are the spring elements that fit inside the jack around the pin, and they are produced to match the pin jack sizes used across the charging connector range. Silver is the photographed finish, with tin offered as an alternative. The springs are the working element of the jack, delivering the spring function that the pin jack relies on. The photographed springs are a representative sample of the five jack sizes the product covers.

Specifications

Jack sizes: 1.58mm; 2.8mm; 3.6mm and 3mm; 6mm. Plating silver; material brass, T2 copper. Plating and materials are customizable according to customer requirements, and brass and T2 copper are the listed body materials, either of which can be paired with the silver plating or swapped at specification. Custom finishes are handled through the same review process as custom materials.

Applications

The contacts support charging connectors. The same contact set is applied across the European, American and Chinese charging ecosystems. Applications for this product include electric vehicles, high-speed rail, energy storage and battery testing, and industrial and robotics equipment. Because plating and material are customizable, the same spring contact can be re-specified for a different finish without changing the jack size it is built for.
