Description
The strap touch finger is a silver-plated contact spring for EV charging connectors with a wire diameter of 0.10–2.0 mm. The photographed form shows the strap touch finger as it ships for charging connector duty, with the band-like strap contact following the pin over a wider arc than a single contact point. Size follows the accessory drawing, and plating specification and material, copper alloy or stainless steel, can be customized.
Charging Connector Jack Coverage
For new-energy electric vehicle charging connectors, this finger is matched to the complete set of jacks used across the charging connector applications: pin jacks at 1.58mm; 2.8mm; 3.6mm and 3mm; 6mm.
On the jack side, plating is silver and material is brass, T2 copper, with plating specifications and materials customizable to the customer's requirement. Beyond charging, the strap touch finger is linked to High-Speed Rail, Energy Storage & Battery Testing and Industrial & Robotics applications, and a new accessory drawing can be supplied when an existing size does not match the customer's socket. The finger is developed alongside two-way coil spring touches, single-turn spring touches, cylindrical quick-plug self-locking connectors and male and female heavy-duty connectors, so it can be ordered as part of a full charging connector set.
The strap form keeps the contact surface broad and rowed across the pin, which is why it is specified where the charging connector sees frequent insertion. Contact and jack can be developed together so the finished connector set stays consistent in finish and material.
