Description
Photographed as a cluster of circular gold-plated canted coil spring contact rings, this variant is supplied as a ring-spring jack for EV charging connectors. Each ring is defined by wire diameter rather than a fixed part number, covering the 0.10–2.0 mm range, and the closed circular ring is the distinguishing form detail of this jack variant. The gold plating shown in the photograph is one of three finishes available, alongside silver and nickel. A single ring can be repeated in multiples across a multi-pin jack, matching the photographed cluster arrangement. They are supplied as individual rings for the connector builder to install.
Specifications
Wire diameter 0.10–2.0 mm. Material is copper alloy or stainless steel, with silver, gold or nickel plating and the gold finish as photographed. Size, plating specifications and materials can be customized to the bore and finish a customer specifies, and the copper alloy and stainless steel options give the spec reviewer a choice of base material before the plating is applied.
Charging Connector Application
The ring-spring jack serves charging connectors. All of the charging connectors in this family use jacks: 1.58mm; 2.8mm; 3.6mm, and 3mm; 6mm. The jacks are silver plated in brass or T2 copper, and their plating and materials can be customized alongside the ring. Linked applications for this product are electric vehicles, high-speed rail, energy storage and battery testing, and industrial and robotics equipment.
