Shield Spring Contacts

Shield spring contacts are supplied with a wire diameter of 0.10–2.0 mm in silver-plated copper alloy or stainless steel. The photographed form is a high-voltage EV connector assembly carrying silver canted coil spring rings together with a cable terminal, which is where shield spring contacts do their work: holding the connection between the connector and the terminal under the high-voltage cable. The silver canted coil spring rings and the cable terminal visible in the photo are the working parts of that assembly, which is what this shield contact is supplied to complete.

Build Options

The build is 0.10–2.0 mm wire, silver plated, in copper alloy or stainless steel. Size is produced per the attached drawing and can be customized, and plating specifications and materials can be adjusted to the customer's requirement. No connector charging standard is listed for this shield product, so the contact is engineered to the drawing rather than to a fixed socket size.

Linked applications are Electric Vehicles, Energy Storage & Battery Testing and Industrial & Robotics, where the shield contact is specified for high-voltage assemblies of the type shown in the reference image, with the terminal end finished to suit the customer's cable.
